These are works that are I took on as the sole developer, everything you see was all on me, myself, and I alone.
Sometimes I do like being in total creative control of my works, but in my experience I do value having a team to rely on. Animation is pretty difficult on your own, especially when it comes to illustrating the environments/backgrounds
PIXEL TERROR - INSTAGRAM CONTENT
2019
Was commissioned by this pair of popular DJ's known as Pixel Terror, was mostly creating content for their Instagram acct. following the release of their newest singles.
It was kind of a bummer, they had reached out after this first set of videos saying they were planning to have me re-purpose these animations so they could be projected at their live performances. (For instance, Alpha out the characters, and create new environments, etc) A few months later after we talked, the pandemic first hit, and I hadn't heard from them since. Was a real shame, was a pleasure working with them. I could only assume they were hurt by these hard times
THE CORRIDOR, DEFENDED
2016
In association with Mack Black Studios, I was asked to animate a very short sequence for "The Corridor, Defended" dir. by Mike Targus
Was my very first gig right out of college!
The sequence was a memory of Mike as a child growing up in rural Detroit, when his father saved him from stray dogs. In the film, this was used as a dream sequence gag as the main character fell asleep while drinking at a bar
It was a 100% Detroit, MI film, shot and developed in Detroit, including me as a Detroit based animator.
